~Dawr is a fgout and inadvertently caused me to go out and buy pokemon Ruby. You know they still cost like $35 used in major game stores? Insane.
So, ebay. Got it for like $18, but I liked the seller. Plan on getting Emerald for my sister, since she's getting into pokemon. I completely skipped this generation, so it'll be interesting 8D
I also tried playing my old pokemon Crystal last night, and found out this morning that it won't hold a saved game. None of my second gen games will. And Crystal STILL sells for like 20 bucks on ebay. Whhhy it should be dirt cheeeap.
I heard a rumor that they're planning on making a Crystal remake for the DS? Can anyone confirm/deny? I have mixed feelings about this. At least I wouldn't have to worry about dead batteries if they were. And maybe they'd have moving sprites again. That'd be badass and the best reason for playing.
I swear, have you ever tried opening one of those gameboy color cartridges? They require a special screwdriver. |: And I can't find anywhere that even maintains gb color games anymore, much less possess this magic screwdriver. Sad times, sad times.
Sorry, I haven't heard anything like that. They are coming out with Pokemon Platinum early next year; it's kind of the the crystal version to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

Well I heard some rumors and Nintendo says they aren't, I think. But someone hacked some part of their game to get certain pokemon [GSC pokemon] and D/P recognized Hoenn. So, y'know. maybeeeeeee.
I'm not so sure they put that much thought into it. As rich as the creator must be, I think he just names the next iteration after whatever precious gems he decided to have sprinkled on his caesar salad that day. D:
